MY STORY

FROM SUPERFICIAL BEAUTY TO A MINDFUL APPROACH
Hi! My name is Victoria Tyshchenko, and I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in architecture in 2022. Five years ago, I was deeply affected by the fire at Notre-Dame Cathedral, which led to a terrible loss of cultural heritage. It was the starting point when I began to think seriously about human mistakes that damage both manufactured masterpieces and the environment. The increased interest in this topic led me to question the role of green practices in design.
Therefore, starting from the third year of study, I became interested in studying environmentally friendly materials and ways to integrate sustainable methods. I am currently working on various projects related to architecture and design, and one of them has become a tiny handmade postcard production.
WHAT IS ARCHICARDS?
The first aspect concentrates on architectural inspiration, evident in the appeal to balanced proportions, architectural styles, and elements.
The second aspect is sustainability. It involves using green materials and including basil and coriander seeds in postcards, which can be sprouted at home, promoting a bond with nature.
The thoughtful design ensures that the postcard remains attractive and balanced in composition after seed removal, allowing you to enjoy it as a decor instead of throwing it away as a “package.”
Ultimately, the ArchiCards convey a persuasive message — modern aesthetics, creativity, and sustainability can coexist harmoniously, fostering a broader societal shift towards eco-awareness.
